We LOVE Visitors!!!

Hi Everyone!!!
Who wants to come visit next?? We really love having visitors. Tanner is a very social baby and loves to have people around!

Grandma Root and Aunt Sheri were our most recent visitors - and we had a truly wonderful time!! It was a time of lots of 'firsts' for Tanner. First road trip - Tanner did pretty good, he slept most of the way. First trip out of town - we went to the Oregon coast for the weekend. First time seeing, hearing and smelling the ocean. First time sleeping in a dresser drawer!! (yes...this is true, see the photo below) And first shower - no bathtub in the cottage we stayed at.

Tanner is doing lots of other new things too. He is becoming more interested in his toys. He studies them and reaches for them and grabs at them. And of course, they go right in the mouth!!

He is also finding his voice. You can see a video of this by clicking on the 'My Videos' link on the right-hand side of the page.

Another first that isn't so exciting is that he has his first cold. He is pretty congested and after a couple of nights of him not sleeping (and us not sleeping) we talked with the advice nurse and she suggested having him sleep in his car seat. What a wonderful idea!!! It works so great b/c he is propped up and can actually breathe!! (he couldn't breathe well while laying flat on his back in bed) So now we are all getting sleep again!! Yippee!!

Enjoy all the photos!!

Overalls are made for little boys!!

Grandma Root and I love to snuggle together.

I met my Aunt Sheri for the very first time!!! I love her!!!

I am a very happy little boy!!

Aunt Sheri took me on a 'bike ride' around her farm neighborhood in Michigan and explained all the fun things to see and do! It was so much fun!

When we went to the Oregon coast, we stayed in a town called Lincoln City. The first night we were there we drove a few miles south to Depoe Bay to watch the sunset. Here I am with Grandma, Aunt Sheri and Mama.

This was the beautiful sunset we saw!!

And here is my Grandma and Aunt Sheri waving hello in Depoe Bay, OR!

The next morning we got up early and went for a walk on the beach - I loved hearing and smelling and seeing the ocean!!

I decided to take a little nap!

My pal Wheat loves the ocean too!! The way he runs around on the sand you'd never know that he is 14 years old!

Here I am with Grandma at the cottage we stayed in. I like to play with my tongue!

Grandpa Root wasn't able to come out to Oregon to visit but I talked with him on the phone! It was wonderful to hear your voice, Grandpa!

There wasn't any room in our car to bring along the Pack 'n Play for Tanner to sleep in so we improvised. We pulled out a large dresser drawer and lined it with a really thick, soft blanket and a sheet and Tanner sleep in there!! He didn't seem to mind.

Morning devotions with Aunt Sheri at the cottage.

On the way home we stopped at a view point to take a photo of our Mount Hood! What a beautiful place we live!!

Ah-Goo!!!

This and saying other fun words is what I've been to! I love to coo and make ooooh and aaaaah sounds.

On December 13, I had my two month check-up and got my first round of vaccines. I didn't like them much but I think Mama was more upset than I was. We found out that I am over the 75th percentile for weight and over 95th percentile for length!! I'm only 2 months old but I'm already wearing 3-6 month clothes!

My Aunties Lisa and Kim came to visit too - I just loved cuddling with them and I gave them lots of my special smiles!!

Here are some recent photos of me:

I love to be propped up so I can look around!

Tummy time!!

Here I am with my pal, Wheat!

I love to kick and punch the air - I'm getting SO strong!

I'm smiling at my Daddy!

Here we are taking a walk up on Powell Butte - that is Mount Hood to the right of Mama's head but you can hardly see it. (I decided to take a nap.)

One of my favorite faces to make:

NO WAY - I'm SO shocked! (What a face!)

Snuggling with Auntie Lisa is wonderful!

Auntie Kim rocked me to sleep - I hope my Aunties come back to visit soon!

See how proper I fold my hands? :)
